On continuing my harmonica education.
Work and progress, rather than a work in progress.
The latter seems to say that I’m not good enough as I am, and there is a mysterious end when I will be. Maybe that’s a fine state of mind to inspire small projects, but it can be demoralizing when the end seems unachievable.
The former says that I’m exactly where I should be and if I just keep working (chipping away at practice time, rewiring old habits, building confidence, etc.), I’ll continue to achieve my goals. I will never find the end, but I’ll never stop playing out of frustration with a lack of progress.
Thanks to my harmonica friends in Room B1 at the Old Town School of Folk Music and You Missed Monday for your continued support!
